Job title: MT Engineer (Process & Equipment)

As part of a new PCBA factory ramp, the SMT Engineer will optimize SMT lines end-to-end—programs, processes, and equipment—so the line hits output, yield, and uptime targets.

You'll work closely with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to secure stable daily runs and smooth NPI launches.

【 Responsibilities 】

-Build, tune, and maintain SMT processes: solder paste printing (stencil/spec), placement, reflow profiles; manage SPI/AOI false calls and escapes.

-Create/optimize machine programs and feeder setups; reduce changeover (SMED), improve line balance, and secure takt.

-Drive line KPIs (OEE, FPY, DPMO, downtime, scrap/rework) using data analysis, DOE, 5Why/Fishbone; issue 8D reports when required.

-Execute preventive maintenance and basic repairs; plan spare parts and coordinate with vendors for deeper fixes.

-Support NPI/ECN: DFM/DFx reviews, golden sample builds, control plans, FAI; maintain WI/SOP, travelers, parameter logs.

-Enforce IPC-A-610/J-STD-001, ESD, 5S, safety; train and certify operators/techs; sustain visual management and change control (4M).

【 Requirement & Preferences】

(Must)

-3+ years in SMT/PCBA process or equipment engineering within EMS/PCBA.

-Hands-on with printers, mounters, reflow ovens, SPI/AOI.

-Proven results reducing false calls/defects and improving OEE/FPY

-Read engineering docs (Gerber, BOM, pick-and-place, XY, stencil design); comfortable with ERP/MES basics and line reporting.

-Effective English and Chinese to liaise with shop-floor teams and suppliers; willing to support shifts or weekend builds during ramp.

-Working Experience in Japanese or other MNC manufacturing factory
