The Impact of a Sr. Solution Advisor at Coupa:
The Senior Solution Advisor is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Coupa's Supply Chain Design, Planning, and Sourcing solutions. This role drives sales by providing technical expertise, leading tailored demonstrations, and developing proofs of concept (POCs). They are critical for converting opportunities, influencing the future product roadmap based on market needs, and ensuring a smooth transition from pre-sales to post-sales delivery.
What You'll Do:- Customer Engagement & Support: Collaborate with sales and partners on new business and renewals to understand customer requirements, create services budgets, roadmaps, and Statements of Work (SOWs), and assist with RFx responses (Request for Information/Proposal/Quotation).
- Product Demonstration & Solutioning: Provide functional product expertise, specifically focusing on Coupa's supply chain design, planning, and sourcing optimization offerings through tailored demonstrations and the development of use-case demonstrations and proofs of concept (POCs).
- Subject Matter Expertise (SME): Act as the SME on supply chain best practices for both prospects and the sales team, providing training and domain knowledge to the solutions advisory team.
- Strategic Product Influence: Liaise directly with the Product Management team to share prospect requirements and market insights, influencing the future product roadmap for Supply Chain design, planning, and sourcing optimization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to post-sales by working collaboratively with Customer Success, Delivery teams (internal professional services), and Product Marketing to promote market positioning.
- Experience & Sales Acumen: Possess 5+ years of combined experience in applications pre-sales (SaaS environment) and/or supply chain design and planning, with a plus for experience applying formal sales methodologies.
- Core Domain Expertise: Exhibit deep Subject Matter Expertise in Supply Chain Design, Planning, Complex Sourcing, and general spend management challenges (Procurement, Analytics, Risk Management, etc.).
- Specific Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate specific domain expertise in more than one of the following: supply chain modeling, production planning, forecasting, distribution, inventory management, or strategic sourcing.
- Optimization Principles: Must have knowledge of the principles of optimization and how it is performed using software packages.
- Communication & Presentation Skills: Have strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience and adjust the message on the fly.
