Job Responsibilities:

  • Investigate accidents, complete or verify accident reports, and liaise with technical specialists and external health and safety authorities to identify the causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence.
  • Monitor permits, licenses and statutory requirements.
  • Communicate with internal and external parties on relevant EHS information.
  • Use CORE / CPS tools to solve technically complex issues.
  • Support in the site's external audits (ISO14001, SMS, ISO45001, ISO50001, Program Evaluation, etc.).
  • Conduct annual machine and equipment random program audit.
  • Support of on-site routine EHS inspections, WSH committee meetings and collection of EHS performance metrics to identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment, working practices, or working conditions.
  • Support in the training and preparation of the company emergency response team.
  • Provide EHS awareness training for various staff levels within the site to ensure understanding and compliance.
  • Participate in the site's process safety activities.
  • Support conduct of fire drills, table top exercises and business continuity plans
  • Review and update the site's legal register.
  • Review and revise site layouts involving EHS related equipment.
  • Review and analyze technological advances in the realm of EHS pertinent to the site.
  • Review, revise and advise on RA, JHA, JSA and HAZOP.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma in Engineering/Chemistry/Environmental Engineering
  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer
  • Minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience
