Lead English Teacher

We're assisting a boutique international preschool in the Mountbatten area to hire a Lead English Teacher for their N1 class. This family-owned kindergarten was recently recognised as one of Singapore's top three preschools, and offers a warm, collaborative environment grounded in playful learning.

• Lead a class of N1 children in daily routines, inquiry-led lessons, and outdoor play
• Communicate daily with parents during drop-offs and pick-ups — 95% of families are expat
• Work closely with a tight-knit team of international teachers in a purpose-built, single-storey black-and-white bungalow campus
• Bring play-based frameworks to life — using storytelling, pretend play, and open-ended exploration
• Uphold classroom safety, hygiene, and positive guidance in line with ECDA standards

• ECDA-certified (minimum L1) with at least 1 year of teaching experience
• Prior experience in an international preschool is required — this role is not suited for teachers unfamiliar with international classroom settings or parent communication norms
• Warm yet energetic teaching style — someone who sees play as serious work
• Teachers who are confident engaging with parents and colleagues — this is not a role for those who prefer to stay in the background
• L2 certification is a bonus, but not a must

• Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday
• Monthly Salary: Up to $4,000, depending on experience and qualifications
• Leave & Bonus: Over 55+ paid weekdays off annually (term breaks and holidays), and annual performance bonus (average 1.5 months in 2024, up to 2 months for top performers)
• Class Level: N1 (ages 2–3)
