Finance Manager role in the financial institution sector

Our client is a growing firm in the FI industry. This is a hands-on finance manager role whereby you will report to the Head of Finance.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for financial accounting, month end close and reporting including consolidation of the group reporting to HQ. Ensure timely monthly/quarterly/yearly financial close and compliance reporting.

  • Responsible for FP&A functions, including preparing management reports and presentation decks to Management, Audit Com and Board. Prepare budgeting/forecasting and perform review of variance analysis.

  • Act as a business partner to the business on relevant finance activities.

  • Responsible for tax compliance (e.g. withholding tax, GST etc)

  • Perform treasury functions including cash management and working capital management. Work on liquidity reporting and assist on new financial counterparties onboard processes.

  • Ensure MAS regulated entity set of accounts are managed and kept in accordance regulatory requirements

  • Spearhead and implement finance transformation projects to support the needs of the organisation

QUALIFICATIONS/ ACADEMIC BACKGROUND/ SKILLS

  • A CA/CPA with a Bachelor's Degree in accountancy or equivalent

  • Min 10 years of experience covering both financial accounting/month end close and FP&A functions, with some years gained in the financial institution industry exposure

  • Prior external audit experience is required

  • Knowledge of MAS regulations and IFRS is required

  • Added cash management and working capital experience is useful (but not a must)

  • Hands-on experience doing finance transformation work is beneficial

  • Very hands-on despite being experienced

  • Adaptable, meticulous and flexible.

  • Good presentation and communication skills

  • Possess strong people skills

  • Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills
