Job Description
The Mizuho Fund Placement team specialises in global fundraising for private equity, private credit, real estate, and infrastructure funds. With a robust network of institutional investors and a deep understanding of the financial markets, the team is dedicated to connecting high-quality investment opportunities with capital providers across the APAC region.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the private equity industry and learn about the fund placement process. The intern will assist the team in sourcing potential investors and supporting the execution of fundraising mandates.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation
Assist in preparing marketing materials, including pitch books, investor presentations and due diligence documents
Support the due diligence process for new GPs by analysing their performance track records, evaluating investment strategies and benchmarking against peers and competitors
Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential investor and market trends
Assist in preparing market mappings and identifying leading GPs in the APAC region
Project Management
Maintain CRM data, ensuring GP and investor profiles are accurate and up to date
Assist in expanding the investor base by researching, sourcing and qualifying potential new investors
Maintain and update project trackers to monitor fundraising progress and ensure accurate, timely reporting
Collaborate with team members on projects and ad hoc initiatives as needed
Role Prerequisites
Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
The candidate should be in the penultimate year of their bachelor's program. The internship is expected to commence around May/June 2026
Strong analytical and research skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
Interest in private equity and alternative investments
Prior internship experience in a private capital advisory or placement agent firms is a plus
Eligible to work in Singapore
