Job Functions & Summary:
Responsible to lead a team of landscape crews in the development, planning and maintenance of the landscapes within the golf courses and clubhouse.
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
(1) Conduct arboriculture visual trees assessment.
(2) Liaise and coordinate with arboriculture contractors to carry out the necessary works.
(3) Conduct periodic landscape crew briefings.
(4) Implement changes to the plants according to the landscape improvement plans.
(5) Design improvement works and provide planting plan and bill of quantities.
(6) Plan treatments for plants such as the application of insecticide and fertilizer.
(7) Plan and control budgets and expenses.
(8) Prepare tender documents and conduct tender interviews.
(9) Assess and evaluate tender submissions.
(10) Conduct daily inspection on landscaping maintenance and improvement works.
(11) Ensure all work carried out are in accordance to the work place health safety requirements.
(12) Attend internal and external meetings, representing the department's horticulture and arboriculture functions, and provide relevant updates or follow-ups as required.
(13) Respond to members' feedback in timely manner and acknowledge feedback from support groups and government authority to ensure resolution to any arising issue.
(14) Preparation of tender documents, ensuring the specifications and conditions are clear, detailed, and aligned with the Club's requirements and policies.
(15) Assist in the monitoring of operating and capital expenditures to ensure spending remains within allocated the budget.
(16) Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
- A recognized Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Horticulture / Landscape Management or related discipline. ISA certified Arborist would be advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years of strong technical working knowledge in horticulture with hands-on experience.
