Make an Impact by:

  • Develop and maintain packet core network architecture and capacity plans to support current and future mobile data traffic.
  • Ensure scalability and performance of core elements including AMF, SMF, UPF, MME, SGW, PGW/EPG, and DNS.
  • Lead and coordinate packet core expansion and upgrade projects from initiation to completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including RAN, transport, IT, and security.
  • Prepare and manage capital expenditure forecasts and justifications for packet core investments.
  • Track project budgets and ensure cost-effective deployment strategies.
  • Ensure network design and operations comply with 3GPP standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving standards in 3G/4G/5G core technologies.
  • Integrate security principles into the design and deployment of core network systems.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to assess risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze network KPIs and traffic trends to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
  • Recommend and implement optimization strategies to enhance user experience and network efficiency.

Skills for Success:

  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in mobile core network planning or engineering.
  • Strong understanding of 3GPP standards and protocols (e.g., GTP, SCTP, Diameter, HTTP/2).
  • Hands-on experience with core network elements (e.g., MME, SGW, PGW, AMF, SMF, UPF, DNS).
  • Proven experience in project management and CAPEX planning.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and best practices in telecom networks.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
