Logistics Specialist

Job Summary

Logistics Specialist is responsible for shipping, transportation and warehousing activities to ensure effective and efficient delivery of materials to the plant and to customers. He/She has knowledge on all modes of shipments, Incoterms, customs declaration requirements and warehousing operations.

The ideal candidate requires to have a strong sense of ownership, result oriented mindset and equipped with fast execution capability.  He/She is required to operate in a complex and face paced environment independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage and track daily shipping activities to ensure accurate reporting
• Handle import and export shipments
• Source for rates and present comparisons
• Ensure import and export HS codes are classified on time
• Perform shipping & warehousing activities in Oracle ERP
• Responsible for billings verification and submission
• Map and setup logistics processes; and ensure success
• Identification of bottlenecks and inefficiencies and suggesting relevant improvements
• Setup and track KPI metrics and generate monthly reports
• Handle quality incident reporting on discrepancies such as damage cargo handling, survey inspection procedures
• Other jobs assigned by supervisor or management

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma with at least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess shipping and Incoterms knowledge
• Experienced in supporting warehouse operations
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong interpersonal skills and advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Oracle experience is a plus.
