Job description:

Position Summary

Independently develop structural design to comply with Class and Technical specification requirements within

assigned schedule

Tasks and Responsibilitie

  • Responsible for delivering the respective project design drawing and document according to project plan

    schedule. Shall take on project lead role.
  • Review external designer's pre-contract technical specifications, general arrangement and drawing lists.
  • Liaise with Owner and Classification Society for the specific design requirement compliance, review, and

    approval.
  • Perform FE analysis using FEMAP is an advantage.
  • Review project team members drawings or documents prior submission
  • Perform structural calculation, rudder calculation and design.
  • Prepares sourcing technical specifications for fittings related to structure (special material/construction, rudder,

    etc.)
  • Coordinates with detail designer / production designer and checks their processes and output.
  • Communicate with the person in charge of production on trouble shooting and visiting on-site if needed

Job requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in the marine/offshore industry Structure newbuilding engineering design
  • Familiar with AutoCAD/ Microsoft Office/ AVEVA/FEMAP and Good communication and analytical skills.
