Primary Role

To manage, coordinate, and supervise plumbing works on-site to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan the daily, weekly, and monthly plumbing activities in line with overall project timelines.
  • Ensure all plumbing installations (piping, drainage, water supply, gas lines, fire suppression, etc.) are installed correctly.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress and quality.
  • Ensure plumbing works comply with building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
  • Review and approve materials before installation.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures specific to plumbing work.
  • Conduct risk assessments and toolbox talks.
  • Report and manage site incidents and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Allocate manpower, materials, and equipment efficiently.
  • Request or purchase necessary plumbing materials.
  • Track inventory and usage of plumbing tools and materials.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, consultants, and clients.
  • Prepare daily or weekly progress reports.
  • Attend site meetings and provide updates on plumbing work status.
  • Identify and resolve plumbing-related issues on-site.
  • Adjust plans as needed to accommodate delays or design changes.
  • Maintain records of inspections, tests (pressure tests, leak tests), and approvals.
  • Ensure all documentation is up to date and filed according to company/project protocols.

Skills & Qualifications (Optional but Useful for Job Description)

  • Tradecertification or diploma in plumbing.
  • Proven experience in plumbing or MEP site supervision (typically 15+ years).
  • Knowledge of local plumbing codes and building regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • A valid driving license is required.
