Job Responsibilities:

  • Full Set of Accounts:Manage the entire accounting process, including posting journals, preparing and closing monthly accounts, and doing reconciliations. You will also be responsible for generating financial reports
  • Liaison with Key Parties:Communicate with company secretaries, banks, customers, suppliers, tax consultants, and tax authorities to ensure smooth operations
  • Accounts Receivable & Payable:Oversee the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring timely invoicing, payments, and receipts
  • Tax and Audit Support:Assist with tax submissions, prepare tax schedules, and coordinate with auditors for audit-related matters
  • Year-End Compliance:Prepare year-end audit schedules and ensure timely filing of statutory obligations, including audited accounts and tax returns.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Financial Accounting, or ACCA holder (or its equivalent)
  • Experience:At least 3 years of experience handling full sets of accounts
  • Independence:Ability to work independently and manage the full set of accounts
  • Language Proficiency:Proficient in both Mandarin and English (speaking, reading, writing). Proficiency in Mandarin is essential as you will need to liaise with Mandarin speakers or associates
  • Attention to Detail:Meticulous with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Work Flexibility:Willing to work 5.5 days a week (alternate Saturdays with work-from-home flexibility)
  • Travel:Willing to travel to Guangzhou for training if needed

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Industry Experience: Prior working experience in the construction industry is highly preferred, as it provides familiarity with the specific accounting and financial practices in this field
  • Familiarity with International Accounting Practices: Understanding of international accounting standards or practices, especially for managing accounts across different countries, could be a plus
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with both local and international stakeholders, especially in cross-cultural environments

Salary Package:

  • Monthly Basic Salary: You will receive a competitive monthly basic salary, reflecting your role and experience
  • Fixed Annual Wage Supplement (AWS): In addition to the monthly salary, you will receive a fixed AWS as part of the overall compensation package, typically paid at the end of the year
