Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the overall planning, scheduling, and management of HDB construction projects.

    Prepare detailed work programs, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring adherence to project deadlines.

    Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.

    Oversee and supervise site works, resolving any on-site issues or delays that arise.
  • Ensure that construction work adheres to local regulatory requirements, such as BCA (Building and Construction Authority) and HDB standards.

    Monitor and implement health, safety, and environmental practices on-site to ensure compliance with workplace safety and health regulations.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and government authorities (e.g., HDB, BCA) to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project progression.

    Communicate regularly with internal teams and external parties to provide updates on project progress.
  • Manage and allocate manpower, materials, and equipment efficiently to optimize project delivery.

    Prepare and submit progress reports, method statements, and risk assessments for review and approval by senior management.
  • Monitor project expenses and resources to stay within the assigned budget.

    Assist in the preparation of project cost estimates, quotations, and progress claims.
  • Review contract specifications and ensure that all contractual obligations are met.

    Assist in resolving contractual disputes or issues arising during the construction process.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as required to support the successful delivery of the project.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience working as a Project Engineer in HDB or public housing projects.
  • Knowledge of HDB project guidelines, construction processes, and relevant regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
