Job Description

You will provide support to countries in Asia Pacific and U.S on Export Control subjects including but not limited to Business Partners (BP) screening (Sanction/Restricted Party Screening), Products Screening (Export Control Classification Numbers – ECCN) and End-Use screening.

This includes risk compliance assessment and developing policy and standards for sustainable compliance across the region. You will be required to drive operational excellence with peers and cross functional teams on license management and reviews of shipment blocks.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain/Business Management with minimum 3-5 years of working experience relating to Trade Compliance or Export Controls. Excellent communication skills with ability to interact and collaborate with cross functional groups cross region.

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) regarding Business Partners screening, Products screening and End-use screening.

  • Author and maintain Trade/Regulatory Data related standards, procedures, and job aids.

  • Work to obtain and maintain accurate product technical data used to determine the appropriate ECCN classification.

  • Provide support for internal and external audits, both domestic and international, pertaining to Export Control subjects.

  • Maintain business process functionality and ECCN data quality.

  • Respond to internal and external requests regarding ECCN - inquiries, audits, or other issues.

  • Conduct annual reviews of business unit processes and controls, activities, and data to determine overall level of compliance.

  • Support BP screening and ECCN work for acquisitions or divestitures.

  • Collaborate with Legal Counsel, business units, Regional Compliance Managers, and other stakeholders regarding BP screening and ECCN related questions, concerns, or issues.

  • Lead improvement efforts for BP screening and ECCN related processes and controls.

  • Provide support around challenges to existing ECCN classifications by Customs agencies.

  • Basic knowledge of Export Controls, especially in BIS Entity Lists and OFAC designations is a plus.

  • Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables) to analyze big amounts of data.

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and Mandarin as the role requires work and documentation in both languages

Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of Export Controls, especially in BIS Entity Lists and OFAC designations is a plus.

  • Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables) to analyze big amounts of data.

  • Diploma/Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain/Business Management with minimum 3-5 years of working experience relating to Trade Compliance or Export Controls.
