Vertical Institute is Singapore's leading upskilling institution, offering practical, industry-relevant courses that prepare professionals for high-growth careers in design, tech, and data. We provide immersive, part-time programs taught by experts with real-world experience, enabling learners to gain hands-on skills that translate directly to the workplace.

We are currently expanding our team and seeking dedicated professionals to join us as UX Instructors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and interactive online lessons on UX design fundamentals
  • Teach practical skills including:
  • User interviews and research synthesis
  • Wireframing and low-/high-fidelity prototyping (e.g., using Figma or similar tools)
  • Usability testing, heuristics evaluation, and feedback analysis
  • UX strategy and design thinking
  • Guide students through hands-on projects and capstone assignments
  • Clearly explain UX concepts to beginners with diverse backgrounds
  • Provide feedback and mentorship to support learner growth
  • Adapt content delivery based on feedback and evolving UX practices

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Finance industry, with a strong background in UX design
  • Expertise in:
  • User-centered design methodologies
  • Prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch)
  • Conducting usability studies and applying insights
  • Accessibility, responsive design, and current UX trends
  • Strong instructional and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for beginners
  • Confident Zoom facilitator with a professional remote teaching setup (camera, mic, stable internet)
  • Prior teaching, mentoring, or coaching experience is a strong advantage
