Our client is seeking a PCB Engineer to join their team

What you'll be doing?

• PCB Design Lifecycle: Handle comprehensive PCB design from initial schematic capture through component footprint creation, strategic placement, precise PCB routing, to final Gerber generation.
• Advanced Layout Design: Create sophisticated PCB layouts for RF and dense high-speed digital multi-layer boards, ensuring optimal performance and signal integrity.
• Schematic and Component Work: Engage in schematic capture processes and create accurate component symbols and footprints to support various design requirements.
• Multi-layer Optimization: Design complex PCB layouts for multi-layer, high-speed, and high-performance applications, including strategic component placement, optimized routing, and precise trace length adjustments.
• Assembly Coordination: Apply knowledge of printed circuit board assembly workflow to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet production requirements.
• CAD Software Utilization: Effectively use advanced PCB CAD software, with Altium Designer experience being particularly valuable for design efficiency.
• Standards Compliance: Ensure all designs meet IPC Class 3 design standards for high-reliability applications and critical performance requirements.
• Project Management: Work efficiently to manage project timelines and stakeholder expectations while consistently producing high-quality deliverables.
• Advanced Via Design: Apply experience with blind, buried, and micro vias to create sophisticated interconnect solutions for complex designs.
• Design Verification: Verify design integrity and collaborate with testing teams to ensure optimal PCB performance and reliability.

Who are they looking for?

• Educational Background: Higher NITEC or Diploma in Electronics Engineering, providing a solid understanding of electronic systems and PCB design principles.
• PCB Expertise: Strong background in schematic capture and PCB design with proven ability to create accurate and manufacturable designs.
• Multi-layer Experience: Comprehensive familiarity with PCB layouts for multi-layer, high-speed, and high-performance applications including advanced routing techniques.
• Assembly Knowledge: Understanding of printed circuit board assembly workflow to ensure designs are optimized for production and manufacturing.
• Software Proficiency: Proficiency in PCB CAD software with prior knowledge of Altium Designer being particularly advantageous.
• Standards Knowledge: Working experience with IPC Class 3 design standards for high-reliability and critical applications.
• Project Skills: Proven ability to work efficiently, manage timelines effectively, and deliver high-quality results consistently.
• Via Experience: Experience in designs utilizing blind, buried, and micro vias being advantageous for complex interconnect solutions.
• Professional Attributes: Self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive approach with ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.
• Relevant Experience: At least 1 year of relevant PCB design experience demonstrating practical application of design principles.
