Private Family Tutor (Full-Time)

Our family is seeking a dedicated and responsible family tutor to support the academic learning of our four children (Year 1 (Sec 1), Primary 3, Primary 1, and Kindergarten 2). The role focuses on guiding them through their studies, homework, and enrichment activities across different subjects, while fostering good learning habits and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily tutoring and homework guidance for the children, ensuring they keep up with schoolwork and develop strong understanding of their lessons.
  • Focus on core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, Chinese, and Humanities, with age-appropriate teaching for each child.
  • Introduce effective study methods, help with reading, writing, and speaking, and encourage curiosity and independent learning.
  • Support preparation for school projects, presentations, and competitions where required.
Working Hours:
  • Weekdays: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Saturdays: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Sundays: Off (Until exam period approaches)
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Able to commit to a fixed weekly schedule.
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin, able to explain academic material and communicate effectively with the children in both languages.
  • Prior experience teaching or tutoring young children, with patience and adaptability across different age groups.
  • Responsible, organized, and able to engage with children in a positive and encouraging way.
  • Singaporeans or Permanent Residents only.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience teaching or tutoring at the kindergarten and primary levels.
  • Current or Ex MOE teachers
  • Background in teaching (NIE graduates or equivalent will be strongly considered).
Remuneration:
  • 3 month contract on hourly basis
  • Option to convert to Full Time basis after 3 months
