Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assigned to the Mechanical Maintenance team and will be accountable in the maintenance of mechanical equipment such as Boilers (pressure vessels etc), Pumps (seawater, BFW etc), auxiliary equipment such as Chillers, valves and piping etc.
  • Plan and schedule corrective and preventive maintenance works. Include liaising with operations, prioritize jobs, mobilize work force, spares and allocate resources.
  • Lead technicians in implementing in preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Troubleshoot critical or major plant issues, participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) studies, plant improvement initiative, and drive cost management.
  • Implement management initiatives to optimize the assets and seek to continuously improve on the methods, procedures and update with the latest developments in the market by adopting a suitable approach like proactive initiatives viz predictive and preventive maintenance activities and default actions like failure finding, redesign and run to failure.
  • Plan and review the budget for the Cost Centers assigned to them
  • Upkeep risk registers, take part in safety walkdowns, implement safety initiatives, and ensure that good safety practices are practiced by all stakeholders in the maintenance work.
  • Develop and establish maintenance procedures, risk assessment and method statements for all maintenance activities to ensure safe execution
  • Ensure that maintenance works, and plant equipment comply with Statutory Requirements.
  • Assist in maintenance related projects to improve workflow and maintenance processes
  • Successful candidate can be appointed as part of the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) (training will be provided)
  • Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experiences

  • Degree in Mechanical engineering
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a Power Plant environment, Utilities Plant or oil & gas industry.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Candidate should be independent, self-motivated, result-driven and have a good sense of teamworking skills
  • Good attitude and possess the willingness to learn on the job
