The Role:

As a Legal Counsel, you will play a key role in supporting the company's legal and compliance functions. Your responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and vendor agreements.
  • Advising internal stakeholders on corporate governance and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Supporting dispute resolution processes and managing litigation cases when necessary.
  • Coordinating with external legal advisors and government authorities.
  • Conducting legal research and preparing internal memos on legislative changes and policy updates.
  • Ensuring legal risks are identified and mitigated across business operations.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of internal legal policies.
  • Providing training and guidance to business units on legal and compliance topics.
  • Monitoring changes in relevant laws and regulations that may impact the business.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to support strategic initiatives and transactions.
What Are We Looking For?

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented legal professional with:

  • A recognized Law degree and admission to practice in Singapore or an equivalent jurisdiction.
  • At least 5 years of experience in corporate or commercial law, preferably in-house or with a reputable law firm.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • High level of integrity and sound judgment in handling sensitive matters.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in managing external counsel and legal vendors.
  • Familiarity with dispute resolution and litigation processes.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to support cross-functional teams.
