Job Overview

The Travel Consultant is responsible for providing professional travel advice, planning, and booking services for clients. This role ensures that all travel arrangements are accurate, cost-effective, and aligned with client needs. The consultant offers expertise in destinations, itineraries, visa and insurance requirements, and delivers excellent customer service throughout the travel experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Able to plan the best and most suitable itinerary based on client's preferences, budget, and requirements.
  • Serve as the contact point for prospects and customers
  • Provide accurate information on destinations, visa requirements, health and safety guidelines, travel insurance, and currency exchange.
  • Prepare detailed itineraries and travel documents for clients.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high level of service, seamless travel arrangements and positive customer experience
  • Ensure all bookings comply with company policies and legal/regulatory requirements
  • Handle changes, cancellations, and emergency travel arrangements in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new destinations, airline regulations, and promotional offers.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring repeat business and referrals.
  • Able to perform after office hour duty

Requirement

  • Diploma in Tourism / Travel / Leisure studies or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of corporate ticketing experience
  • Strong knowledge of travel industry practices, reservation systems (Amadeus) and booking platforms
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Sales and service-oriented mindset
  • An existing network of clients would be an added advantage
  • Able to work independently, pleasant, patience and able to work under pressure
  • Must be an excellent team player
  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours when required
