Job Overview:

We are looking for a proactive, friendly, and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our team at BetterPlay. This role involves handling customer payments, tracking class attendance, creating engaging social media content, decorating the space for special occasions, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with kids, is approachable, and is dependable in managing store operations, including opening and closing duties.

Key Responsibilities:Customer Service & Transactions

  • Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming environment.
  • Process customer payments efficiently and accurately.
  • Assist with customer inquiries about classes.

Working with Children

  • Enjoys engaging with kids and creating a fun, safe atmosphere.
  • Friendly and patient when interacting with families.
  • Helps supervise play sessions and ensures a positive experience for everyone.

Class Attendance & Scheduling

  • Tracks and updates class attendance records.
  • Assists in scheduling and coordinating class sessions.
  • Communicates with customers regarding class reminders and updates.

Marketing & Social Media Management

  • Creates and shares engaging content on social media platforms.
  • Promotes events, activities, and special promotions.
  • Interacts with customers online to build engagement and community.

Visual Merchandising & Store Maintenance

  • Helps decorate and organize the play area for special occasions.
  • Keeps the space visually appealing and well-maintained.
  • Ensures the play area and store are clean and tidy at all times.

Store Operations

  • Opens and closes the store following company procedures.
  • Follows security protocols when handling store operations.
  • Assists with restocking and inventory management.

What We're Looking For:

  • Someone who enjoys working with kids and families.
  • Comfortable working on weekends and flexible hours when needed.
  • Proactive and takes initiative in daily tasks.
  • Friendly and welcoming to customers.
  • Experience in retail is a plus but not required.
  • Familiar with social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
  • Has an eye for visual presentation and aesthetics.
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.

Job Type: Part-time
