Job Description
This individual will provide administrative and scientific support for the PI and research team
- Serve as research assistant for multiple research projects related to mental health and resilience
- Screen and recruit participants, obtain informed consent, answer participant inquiries, and act as a liaison between participants and study-related parties
- Administer psychiatric diagnostic interview and questionnaire measures
- Provide psychoeducation as part of research protocol
- Monitor enrolment goals and initiate strategies to promote enrolment and participant compliance
- Assist with reports for IRB, funding organisation, and other agencies
- Arrange for participant reimbursement
- Recognise, track and report adverse events and protocol deviations
- Attend consensus meetings and clinical supervision with Principal Investigator and study team members
- Maintain participant files and study database, completes data entry and verification
- Assist with statistical analysis, manuscripts and grant preparation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Sciences, or other related fields
- Minimum 2 years' of research experience preferred.
- Possess exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and demonstrate human relations and communication skills
- Able to function independently
- Knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis is advantageous
- English and Mandarin speaking individuals preferred due to the nature of the job.
- Knowledge of Singapore Good Clinical Practice guidelines and IRB regulations is advantageous.
- Responsible for meeting recruitment targets. Must be willing to operate independently and work off site as needed
- Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
- May need to be available during non-office hours (e.g. peak operating hours in clinical setting)
- Must be comfortable interviewing participants about sensitive issues such as anxiety and depression
