Actuarial Intern

What the day will look like

The Actuarial Intern will support an actuarial product by assisting with data analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment projects. This internship provides hands-on experience in the insurance industry, allowing interns to apply classroom knowledge to real-world business challenges. The intern will gain exposure to actuarial methods, tools, and processes while contributing to the team's efforts in pricing, reserving, and forecasting.

• • Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data for actuarial projects.
• Support the development and maintenance of actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and forecasting.
• Participate in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct research on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks.
• Collaborate with team members to solve business problems and improve existing processes.
• Help validate data accuracy and ensure consistency in analyses.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the actuarial team.

This programme is ideal for students who are in their penultimate year of university, but we also welcome first-year applicants.

• • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, Python) is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Interest in pursuing actuarial exams is preferred.
