What you'll be doing

  • Assist the Head of Department in planning, implementing, and monitoring WSH programs.
  • Develop, update, and execute workplace safety and health policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and standards set by relevant authorities.
  • Liaise with Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) coordinators across departments to coordinate WSH initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture across all levels of staff.
  • Act as the point of contact for safety-related concerns and provide timely solutions.
  • Partner with planning teams to ensure design-for-safety principles are incorporated into infrastructure and construction projects.
  • Conduct reviews of risk assessments and permit-to-work applications to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Monitor construction sites to ensure safe practices and adherence to guidelines.
  • Maintain and update the organisation's risk registry.
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits regularly.
  • Ensure compliance with MOM regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards.
  • Prepare and submit mandatory safety reports to regulatory bodies.
  • Organise and facilitate in-house WSH training programmes for staff at all levels.
  • Conduct safety drills, workshops, and awareness campaigns to promote safety-first culture.
  • Support safety-related promotional activities, such as Health & Safety Week or campaigns.
  • Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and accidents.
  • Prepare incident reports, recommend corrective actions, and follow up on improvements.
  • Support emergency preparedness planning and coordinate drills (fire, evacuation, medical emergencies).

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Electrical / Facilities Management / Power / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Marine Engineering.
  • Certified and registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WHSO), Fire Safety Manager Cert is an added advantage
  • Experience in Environmental Engineering and sound knowledge is preferred.
  • Able to communicate effectively, establish priorities and multi-task.
