Key Responsibilities:

Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repair of a variety of heavy-duty machinery or equipment issues on-site or at the yard for both land and marine

Job Description:

  • Diagnose malfunctions and take corrective actions with industrial equipment's mechanica, electrical and hydraulic sub-systems.
  • Experience to repair, overhaul and rebuild diesel engines and machinery sub-systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems to reduce unplanned downtime
  • Undertake regular inspection of machines and equipment and conduct diagnostic check on functionality issues and perform urgent repairs
  • Maintain accurate service records and job logs
  • Assist with coordination and regulatory inspections of land and marine equipment
  • Support commissioning of new equipment when required
    Attend other ad-hoc duties assigned by the company due to operational needs

Requirements or Experience:

  • Minimum 02 years of relevant experience in heavy equipment maintenance for repair (including overhaul) and maintenance of diesel engine repair and maintenance with knowledge of major engine assemblies, hydraulic systems, fuel systems or electrical systems
  • Experience working as mechanic or assistant mechanic on cranes or vessels (ie tug boats, work boats) will be an advantage
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, illustrations, specifications, diagrams and schematics
  • Skilful in using hand tools, precision measuring equipment and other tools
  • Able to work independently and also as part of a team with other team members from different nationalities.
  • Willing to work in outdoor conditions, and extended working hours including nights and weekends if needed
  • Valid Class 3 driving license.
  • Other certifications such manufacturer crane erector certification, Work-at-height certification, Lifting Supervisor certification would be helpful.
  • Fresh graduates with NITEC/ Higher NITEC/ Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical/ Automotive/ Diesel Engine related discipline also encouraged to apply.
