Position Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join GSK's Asia Biostatistics group in Singapore and play a key role in advancing healthcare through innovative statistical methodologies. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to model, analyse and interpret a wide range of human data, including from clinical trials, to ensure robust evidence supports decision-making across drug development. Key Responsibilities

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Enhance our disease understanding in Asian patients through the implementation of advanced statistical and/or machine learning methodologies applied to research and translational science data

  • Partner with matrix teams across Asia and/or global R&D organization to drive early phase and/or later phase asset development, including collaboration with external research partners

  • Serve as statistical expert for internal and external collaborators, investigators, consultants, and contract resources

  • Contribute to robust statistical evidence for use with drug development, including regulatory interactions

Qualifications/Skills

Basic Qualifications:

We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:

  • PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science including life sciences research with major quantitative modelling component.

  • Min 5 years of experience of data analysis and modelling in life sciences.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Hands-on experience applying a broad array of foundational statistical methodologies, including but not limited to: Bayesian methods; causal inference; predictive modelling; neural networks; SVM; penalized regression; random forests or similar

  • Highly proficient in R or Python and highly computer and digitally literate, including use of LLMs

  • Knowledge of, or interest, across multiple aspects of drug development, e.g., drug discovery, translational science, pre-clinical and clinical development, interventional and non-interventional research

  • Good communication and influencing skills, curiosity, passion for patients

  • A strong sense of initiative, urgency, drive, pragmatism and judgement – overall an ability to make things happen

Work Arrangement

This role is hybrid, offering a mix of remote and on-site work in Singapore.
