Position Summary:

We are seeking a caring, energetic, and creative Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children (typically ages 18months–6yo) can develop emotionally, socially, and intellectually. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate lessons and activities that promote learning through play and exploration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that supports early childhood development in alignment with state and school guidelines.
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
  • Promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through structured activities and play.
  • Use storytelling, music, arts, games, and other tools to engage children in learning.
  • Monitor and document children's progress and development through observations and assessments.
  • Maintain communication with parents and guardians through conferences, newsletters, and daily reports.
  • Encourage positive behavior and provide guidance in conflict resolution.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff to ensure classroom success.
  • Ensure all classroom activities meet health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience working with preschool-aged children.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm.
Work Environment:
  • Typically works in a classroom setting within a preschool, daycare center, or early learning facility.
  • May involve sitting on the floor, bending, lifting children, and being actively engaged in play and physical activities.
  • Schedule may follow a school year calendar or year-round, depending on the institution.
