Singapore SOITEC Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

To contribute towards Soitec's production capacity and product costing strategies through effective materials (chemical & gases) planning and budget control, as well as new materials qualification plans. Support Fab engineering investigations and Life Safety System (LSS) implementations & maintenance.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain Materials Requirement Forecast model with IE, considering production loading forecasts, past materials usage, and lead times.
  2. Analyze monthly materials consumption trends to ensure supply continuity with minimal excess.
  3. Drive qualification of new and second-source materials for agility and cost optimization.
  4. Assess the impact of new tool types on material requirements.
  5. Maintain cost models based on chemical and gas usage.
  6. Setup and maintain the Life Safety System (LSS).
  7. Serve as backup for the TGCM operations engineer.
  8. Build technical knowledge of how chemical and gas parameters influence FAB processes.
  9. Support fab process investigations related to chemical or gas issues.
  10. Manage new material qualifications and PCN issuance from suppliers.
  11. Explore opportunities to prevent C&G issues that could disrupt production.
  12. Undertake additional assignments or projects as needed.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications

B.Eng Degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience. Candidates with backgrounds in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry are preferred.

Relevant Experience
  • Experience as a Process/Modules Engineer in a semiconductor plant.
  • Experience as a Facilities Engineer for semiconductor process chemicals & gases.
  • Experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer for chemicals and/or gases is also considered.
Technical / Job Knowledge
  • Familiarity with semiconductor front-end process materials (chemicals and gases).
  • Ability to generate material requirement forecast reports related to production loading.
  • Knowledge of factory cost structures, capex processes, and cost reduction methods.
  • Experience in product qualification of new materials.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong mathematical skills and good number sense.
  • Logical, systematic, with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, able to work independently and as part of a team, and capable of leading cross-functional projects.
