Responsibilities- Set design criteria, check design calculation and drawings;
- Agree on design concepts with Team Leader;
- Ensure concept and sketch designs are approved before progressing to the next stage;
- Assist in preparing fee proposals;
- Carry out feasibility work;
- Advise and report to the Team Leader and Division Manager on the adequacy of the services;
- Formalize standards for specifications, drawings, etc., in conjunction with Team Leaders and the Division Manager;
- Resolve technical problems faced during the project design and/or construction stages;
- Investigate and recommend on engineering system selection;
- Handle all correspondences including reports, technical specifications, and other project documents;
- Prepare and monitor cost and quantity estimates (assist for clarifications only);
- Attend design and site meetings;
- Assist Team Leader in internal staff management;
- Assist in business development activities;
- Lead projects and teams of engineers/technicians;
- Become familiar with coded and local Authority requirements;
- Perform other duties as reasonably required by the Team Leader/Division Manager.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineering Board; a Master's in building services engineering or equivalent is a plus;
- 7 to 10 years of experience in design consultancy within the MEP field;
- Chartership membership with professional institutions (e.g., CEng, IEEE, IET, IES) is advantageous;
- Ability to articulate and present design ideas and report independently;
- Experience with international airports and data centers preferred;
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
