Purpose and Scope:

• To support and drive the execution of the M&A transactions and project financing for Gas and related services LOB which include Gas CCGT, UAS, Energy transition projects, domestic renewables, energy storage etc. s. This position will sit within the M&A and Project Finance Department which reports to the VP of M&A and Project Finance.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Source, identify and execute investment opportunities in accordance with the company's mandate to meet business performance objectives as well as secure the necessary project financing for the various projects where relevant

• Structure, assess and negotiate transactions including leading and supervising deal process due diligence, financial modelling and valuation, deal analytics, financing and transaction documentation.

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including financial modelling, scenario analysis and synergy assessments to evaluate potential transactions and investment opportunities as well as preparation and review of presentation and materials used for engaging internal and external stakeholders.

• Collaborate closely with cross functional teams across the divisions, including Markets/Commercial, Legal, Finance, and Tax, to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and seamless execution.

• Lead and drive the financing of the Gas and related services LOB's investments, in co-ordination with cross-functional and cross-border project teams, as well as external advisors and vendors where necessary.

• End-to-end project execution, including evaluation of project risks, bankability and returns, deal structuring, preparation of investment proposals for senior management approvals, debt and equity investors engagement, due diligence, negotiation and documentation, and financial close.

• Develop and manage relationships with external service providers, including commercial lenders, multilaterals and Export Credit Agencies, legal firms, and other advisors and consultants.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.

• Minimum 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in project finance / advisory / investment management / M&A / with proven track record of executing M&A and financing transactions.

Skills/ Competencies & Preferred Characteristics:

• Strong technical skills and competency in leading end-to-end investment execution process including financial modelling, deal structuring, due diligence, negotiation and transaction documentation

• Analytical, highly numerate, detail-oriented, hands-on approach with strong problem solving and project management skills.

• Team player with strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders, as well as co-ordinate across various functional and regional teams.

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive consensus in complex deal negotiations

• Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment under pressure and tight deadlines
