The Opportunity ...As the Senior Director of Human Resources for the APAC region, you will report to the EVP and Chief - Human Resources Officer. You will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across all facets of the HR team. You will design and accomplish regionally aligned HR strategies, policies, and programs that inspire organizational performance, employee engagement, and cultural cohesion across multiple countries and sites.
You will be a trusted advisor and strategic partner to regional business leaders, ensuring the seamless integration of HR programs with goals. Important areas of focus include talent acquisition and development, organizational design, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, and learning and development. You will also promote change management efforts and internal communications to support business transformation and growth.
On a given day, you may:
- Champion and build regional strategies in workforce planning, employee engagement, performance management development, succession planning, and learning & development to support long-term business growth.
- Ensure these projects are operationalized across all levels of the organization, promoting positive people practices.·
- Assess and enhance the organizational infrastructure to improve HR programs. Implement scalable operational processes that support learning agility, efficiency, and sustainable growth.·
- Lead the HR team across APAC, encouraging a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.·
- Be a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, offering data-driven insights and guidance on talent strategy, organizational effectiveness, and change management. Facilitate communication channels and operational frameworks to support these partnerships.·
- Provide expert counsel on complex people matters, ensuring understanding of organizational values and legal compliance.
- Resolve sensitive employee relations issues and support investigations.
- Develop HR goals tailored to regional needs, ensuring understanding of global HR strategy and priorities. Lead and lead the success of the APAC Country Council, encouraging collaboration and agreement across countries.
- Oversee the development, and continuous improvement of HR guidelines, and procedures to ensure consistency, compliance, and understanding of broader JBT Marel teams.
- Establish operational systems to support policy execution and monitor adherence across the region.·
- Partner with HR Centers of Excellence to manage talent, communication, and total rewards programs that support internal equity and external competitiveness. Ensure program delivery.
- Ensure the existence of robust recruitment and talent placement strategies for all new positions, including participating in candidate interviews, collaborating with external recruitment firms, negotiating compensation packages, and contributing to hiring decisions.
- Establish operational protocols to improve the recruitment process and enhance candidate experience.· Provide both strategic and hands-on HR leadership during merger and acquisition activity.
- Ensure smooth organizational transitions and cultural integration aligned with goals.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to navigate the complexities of these changes, including workforce agreements, communication planning, and risk mitigation, ensuring continuity and employee engagement throughout the process.
- Assure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements for the role
- Minimum of 15+ years of human resource experience within Gobal companies in industrial and technology industries.
- Experience partnering with a leadership team to lead lasting change.
- Experience developing talent planning processes to support a focused growth strategy.
- Experience delivering customer-focused HR services, including recruiting, compensation and benefits, organizational development, performance management, and employment law compliance.
- Experience creating and deploying a strategy·
- Global work experience; specifically in APAC.
Travel & Location
- up to 40% travel across JBT Marel locations in the region
