You will be a Lecturer in the School of Engineering, Robotics and Mechatronics systems team.

  • Delivery of PET and CET curriculum, develop course contents including curriculum development, course delivery and project supervision in the areas of Electronics, Mechanical Design, Advanced Simulation and Modelling, AI in Robotics, Robotics & Automation System Design, Semiconductor and Advanced Manufacturing.
  • Maintaining new/existing teaching curriculum for learning units related to industrial automation and robotics
  • Coach, mentor learners and be involved in learner development activities
  • Lead or represent in committees and undertake administrative/management task (i.e. outreach, overseas educational trips)
  • Spearhead and identify new opportunities, initiatives, and collaborations with the industry
  • Plan, lead, manage and industry projects in mechatronics, robotics & automation systems, and supervise learners in such projects.

[What we are looking for]

The candidate should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Relevant qualification in Engineering or related disciplines.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in engineering related fields. Eg. Artificial Intelligence in Robotics, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Simulation, Semiconductor etc
  • Candidate should possess relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Mechatronics System Design & Simulation
    • Automation and Robotics System Development
    • Design Engineering Analysis (CAE/FEA)
    • Sustainability in Engineering Design
    • Semiconductor Advanced Manufacturing
  • Problem solving skills, critical thinking skills, interpersonal and communication skills.

Gaps in our current capability we are addressing with this new hire:

  • Knowledge in integrating AI to Robotics
  • Experience in field of semiconductor
  • Experience and knowledge in mechatronics, robotics & automation system design.
  • Knowledge in simulation and in-depth knowledge and experience in creating the virtual models to shorten planning and product development time
