The organisation oversees areas such as waste management, pollution control, climate action, energy efficiency, and food safety. It develops and enforces environmental regulations, promotes sustainable practices, and works closely with industries, communities, and individuals to build a liveable and climate-resilient nation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor workplace health & safety policies in line with statutory regulations
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits at waste management facilities
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; recommend corrective and preventive actions
• Deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions to staff and contractors
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste
• Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation for compliance purposes
• Collaborate with operations teams to foster a strong safety culture across the organisation

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Workplace Safety & Health, Environmental Engineering, or related field
• WSQ/NEBOSH/IOSH certifications in Occupational Health & Safety are an advantage
• Prior experience in waste management, construction, or heavy industry preferred
• Strong knowledge of WSH regulations and risk management practices
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset
