[What you will be working on]

The Workflow Programme powers a suite of connected products that help agencies digitalise and automate complex processes — such as handling grant and licence applications, streamlining internal approvals, and connecting systems to share data or apply business rules.

These workflow products are a vital part of the public sector digital ecosystem, enabling agencies to build and run their own digital services with less reliance on custom development.

We are looking for a designer who can make complex products feel simple, shaping end-to-end experiences that stay intuitive even as the products' capabilities grow. You will also be the go-to person for design craft, setting a high bar for visual and interaction design across the product suite.

Candidates with proven experience leading a design team will be considered for the Senior UX Designer role.

• Lead the design of end-to-end experiences , from discovery and concept development to detailed UI and interaction design.
• Balance near-term delivery and long-term product vision, by collaborating with product and engineering to shape solutions that scale in capability while remaining simple and intuitive to use.
• Establish design standards by defining visual patterns, layouts, and interaction behaviours that ensure consistency and quality across products.
• Mentor other designers to rais e the quality and coherence of design across products.

• Strong UX and UI design capability , with a portfolio demonstrating both user-centred thinking and craft excellence.
• Strategic and systems-minded , comfortable weighing delivery timelines against long-term design and product vis ion.
• Collaborative and outcome-driven , skilled at aligning stakeholders and balancing user, business, and technical priorities.
• Systematic and detail-oriented , committed to improving design consistency and ways of working .
• (For the Senior UX Designer role) Proven experience lead ing a design team , providing creative direction, critique, and alignment across multiple projects.

• Experience designing low-code or no-code SaaS platform solutions , or multi-product ecosystems that empower users to self-serve through configuration.
