Our client is a leading global Management Consulting Firm.

Our Client's Asia Pacific Actuarial Practice is seeking top talent for their Singapore office.

The successful new Manager candidate will have the exciting opportunity of growing the Asia Pacific Actuarial Practice from the ground-up and will have an outsized influence on the strategic direction of the Practice. The practice seeks to inspire an entrepreneurial culture which fosters free flowing ideas, values diversity, and allows for challenges to the status quo. The Manager will report to the Asia Pacific Insurance Practice leader | Actuarial Consulting and expected to lead business development in Singapore life insurance market and to contribute to a broad range of client projects, including both Asia Pacific and US projects. The Manager will play a key role in the sourcing and delivery of projects, which include top tier insurance companies, reinsurance companies, investment banks, law firms, regulators, and private equity firms.

More specifically, in this role, you may work on:

• Oversight of large or multiple client engagements – work planning, communications, process, and client management
• Identification and development of new sources of business
• Lead or participate in client sales meetings
• Proposal development
• Thought leadership, including oversight and/or creation of intellectual capital
• Creation and analysis of financial projections
• Insurance mergers & acquisitions
• Capital markets transactions support
• Product development and financial reporting
• Client and industry presentations, surveys, case studies
• Work in partnership with our management consulting and strategy practice
• Operating with a high degree of personal responsibility and accountability for the maintenance of a portfolio of clients
• Working as a senior member of a team and acting as a role model for less experienced colleagues

• FSA/FIA or equivalent actuarial credentials with 10+ years of professional experience
• Robust local market insurance experience and industry recognition in areas such as risk, capital and value management, product development, valuation, financial reporting, transformation, financial modelling, and due diligence.
• A track record of leading and managing teams, and delivering against tight deadlines in fast-paced, demanding environments
• Knowledgeable in Hong Kong insurance regulations, such as Hong Kong Risk Based Capital (RBC)
• Knowledgeable in local financial accounting such as IFRS17
• Knowledge of financial modeling systems (Prophet preferred)
• Strong project management and project team leadership skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong skills with the Microsoft Office suite
