Are you someone with a passion to help break down complex terms into simpler forms, while educating the masses on how to trade and invest? If that typo in the sentence before irked you, then you might just be who we're looking for.

We're on the lookout for a Content Editor that lives and breathes content, to sprinkle some magic onto our articles, ensuring that they are free of grammatical errors, and are factually sound. You will have the responsibility of co-managing our editorial calendar, working with both freelance writers as well as internal content writers to produce high-quality content for our clients.

Candidates must have excellent command of English, with both editing and writing experience.

As our clients are present in many different countries, you will play a part in shaping the content strategy for countries in APAC, Europe and more.

This role reports to the Head of Content.

Responsibilities:
  1. Edit, proofread and vet all articles and copies; focusing on grammar, spelling, phrasing and ensuring conformity with client's content style guide.
  2. Ensure all articles are factually accurate, error-free, easily understandable for the man on the street, and make a good read.
  3. Plan the editorial calendar alongside the content manager, and ideate with both the content & SEO team on article ideas.
  4. Guide the writers on the team and help them finetune their writing.
  5. Optimise blog content to help push products, campaigns and sign-ups when necessary.
  6. Drive the publishing of time-sensitive articles to cover the latest market news.
  7. Write short news headlines to send as push notifications, or website pop-ups.
  8. Monitor content performance and derive insights; strategise ways to optimise our content.
  9. Act as the gatekeeper for all content on the site, ensuring that they adhere to the compliance team's inputs, are uploaded accurately and optimised for performance.
Job Requirements:
  1. 2 - 4 years of editing experience, or at least 5 years experience as a writer.
  2. Excellent writing capabilities, including the ability to write in a succinct manner.
  3. Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  4. Must be comfortable writing finance-related copy, particularly in forex, indices, commodities, shares and cryptocurrencies.
  5. Familiarity with SEO and content management systems such as WordPress preferred.
  6. Detail-oriented, meticulous and organised.
  7. Able to multi-task and cope with multiple publications concurrently.
  8. Highly collaborative and able to work in a fast growth environment.
  9. A passion for the financial markets, trading and investing.
