General Manager, Group Supply Chain

Based in the middle of South-East-Asia, Volkswagen Group Regional After Sales Singapore (VRAS) is a regional office of Volkswagen Group, representing 22 countries and 31 importers in the Asia-Pacific region for After Sales purposes. Linked to this office is also a regional warehouse that ensures a fast and reliable supply of Genuine Parts to Volkswagen Group and its brands' customers in the region. VRAS is a division of AUDI Singapore PTE Ltd.

Job Responsibilities

Regional warehouse logistics:

• Supervise Logistics team to achieve operational efficiency
• Monitor Service provider performance and ensure KPI are met
• Ensure inventory level is maintained at level to provide maximum Customer Satisfaction and minimum cost
• Conduct random physical stock checks to ensure inventory control accuracy and security
• Develop Customer Satisfaction measurement processes and monitor the degree of satisfaction
• Initiate and implement changes to ensure Customer satisfaction deficiencies are eradicated
• Ensure that all Quality related standards are implemented and maintained
• Provide expertise to importers to continuously improve supply chain processes in Asia Pacific Region
• Responsible for risk management for all processes related to the regional warehouse

Business Development:

• Develop budgets, investment requirements and performance standards for the Regional Parts Centre as well as monitor performance and negotiate improvements
• Continuous expansion of product offer and market coverage through the regional warehouse, identification of potential for regional sourcing
• Ensure meansurement of Supply Chain CO2 footprint in the region and define corresponding measures to achieve targets
• Definition and establishment of a regional inventory planning role
• Staff planning, including staff requirement, skill and career development
• Liaise with relevant government departments in order to update on latest policies and business environment in Singapore and Asia Pacific Region
• Close cooperation with HQ on all Supply Chain projects in the region

Market Supply Chain steering APAC:

• Independently manage logistics performance and key logistics projects at all levels of the supply chain of the assigned markets (NSCs) IN APAC
• Define, negotiate and follow up on the supply chain related content of the Group Business Plans After Sales and personal target agreements (MbOs) with the Group Supply Chain Managers of the assigned markets in the region
• Agreement of countermeasures as well as tracking of implementation in assigned markets and brands of the region
• Responsibility for the implementation of logistic standards for efficient After Sales supply
• Optimize procedures, tools and concepts for the execution of standardized business reviews of the Group After Sales management as well as for the execution of bilateral Logistics Performance Reviews and special cost reviews
• Closed cooperation with international market steering team in HQ

Job Requirements

• Degree in logistic management or business administration
• At least 6 to 8 relevant years of experience in logistic or material management in automotive car producer level with established network within VW Supply Chain Group
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin
• Excellent knowledge in automotive parts supply chain management on OEM level (wholesale and retail)
• Proficiency in inventory management or warehouse management of a multi-functional and cultural team
• Knowledge of other foreign languages; e.g. German, to collaborate with HQ
• Good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
• Knowledge in supply chain management
  Self-motivated individual that can work on his/her own and travel internationally
