Job Description: Senior Relationship Manager – China Market

Location: Singapore

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Senior Relationship Manager to grow and manage client relationships within the China market, focusing on HNW/UHNW individuals, entrepreneurs, and corporates. The role involves developing business opportunities, deepening client engagement, providing tailored wealth management solutions, and ensuring excellent service delivery for long-term client retention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients from the China market, with a focus on new client acquisition and existing portfolio growth.
  • Understand clients' financial objectives and risk profiles to provide bespoke advisory across investment, wealth planning, and banking solutions.
  • Originate business opportunities through onshore/offshore referrals, networking, client events, and partnership channels.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of China market trends, regulations, tax, and cross-border investment landscape.
  • Work closely with product, investment, credit, and compliance teams to deliver holistic solutions and ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Prepare account plans, monitor portfolio performance, and manage risks effectively.
  • Ensure a high standard of client servicing and enhance client loyalty through consistent and proactive engagement.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Business, Banking or equivalent.
  • 12 years' experience in Private Banking / Wealth Management / Corporate Banking with a strong focus on China market clients.
  • Deep network and proven track record of managing and growing client portfolios of Chinese HNW/UHNW clients.
  • Strong understanding of wealth management products, credit solutions, investments, and cross-border advisory (onshore/offshore structures).
  • Fluency in Mandarin (native/professional) and English; Cantonese is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, advisory, and negotiation skills.
  • Solid understanding of KYC, AML and other regulatory/compliance requirements related to China market.
  • Entrepreneurial, client-centric mindset with a strong sales and business development orientation.
