**Responsibilities**:
- Perform oral surgical procedures, including extractions, implant placement, bone grafting, and soft tissue surgeries.
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and consultations to determine treatment plans and address patient concerns.
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Interpret diagnostic imaging (e.g., X-rays, CBCT scans) to plan and execute surgical interventions effectively.
- Provide post-operative care and follow-up appointments to monitor patient recovery and address any complications.
- Collaborate with other dental specialists, such as periodontists, prosthodontists, and orthodontists, as needed to optimize treatment outcomes.
- Educate patients on post-operative care instructions and preventive measures to promote optimal oral health.
- Maintain accurate and thorough clinical records in compliance with regulatory standards and practice policies.
**Requirements**:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
- Completion of a postgraduate residency program in oral and maxillofacial surgery or equivalent training.
- Active and valid dental license in the state/province of practice.
- Board certification or eligibility in oral and maxillofacial surgery is preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience practicing as a dental surgeon, with a focus on oral surgery.
- Proficiency in performing a wide range of dental surgical procedures, including third molar extractions, dental implant placement, and bone grafting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Commitment to continuing education and staying abreast of advancements in oral surgery techniques and technologies.
