Job Summary

The restaurant supervisor oversees the daily operations of a restaurant, managing staff, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and ensuring guest satisfaction with food and service.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervises staff members and assigns tasks and responsibilities
    Ÿ
  • Ensures all staff members adhere to proper food handling and safety procedures

  • Maintains clean and organized restaurant environment
    Ÿ
  • Manage inventory and orders supplies as needed
    Ÿ
  • Assists with menu planning and development
    Ÿ
  • Communicate with customers and provide exceptional service
    Ÿ
  • Handles customer complaints and resolves issues in a timely manner
    Ÿ
  • Creates employee schedules and manages labor costs
  • Train and develop employees to improve performance and productivity
  • Monitors and maintains restaurant budgets and financial reports

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role in the restaurant industry

  • Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
    Ÿ
  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to manage staff and delegate tasks effectively

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    Ÿ
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing situations, and multitask

  • Proficient in using restaurant management software and other computer programs
    Ÿ
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, or a related field is preferred
