Our client is a global FMCG company for baby & maternity products. You will be responsible for the product design and product development lifecycle.

Reporting to: R&D Manager.

【 Responsibilities 】

- Lead the product development lifecycle, transforming creative concepts into market-ready products from initial design to final production

- Source OEM strategically and new products from international partners, evaluating and selecting suppliers while ensuring adherence to company quality standards

- Collaborate closely with Product Designers, Engineers, Product Managers, QA/QC, and Marketing teams to define, develop, and validate mechanical design intent

- Conduct in-depth engineering research to resolve design challenges, optimise product structures, select appropriate materials, and define specifications to meet performance and cost objectives

- Perform tolerance analysis, risk assessments, and engineering validation, implementing technological advancements to enhance cost efficiency

- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including product specifications, evaluation reports, and cost analysis, to support seamless mass production

- Work alongside manufacturing partners to ensure feasibility, quality compliance, and efficient production processes

- Demonstrate expertise in moulding processes, including injection moulding, compression moulding, and liquid silicone rubber (LSR) moulding, with a strong understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM) principles

【 Requirements & Preferences 】

(Must)

- Diploma in Product Design/Product Engineering/Engineering or related field

- 5 years of product design and development, with a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes in the FMCG/Electronics industry

- Understanding of electronic products and the evaluation process involved

- Proficient with Rhinoceros, SolidWorks, or other 3D tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite

- Proficient in written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin to communicate with English and Mandarin-speaking suppliers

- Willing to do business travelling (10%) for meeting overseas suppliers or the factory

(Advantageous)

- Experience working in a Japanese company is a plus

- Knowledge of IEC Standard, ROHS, and EMC will be an added advantage

- Ability to join within 1 month or shorter will be advantageous
