Job description:

Beecroft Animal Specialist & Emergency Hospital is Singapore's leading independent referral veterinary hospital, located near Labrador Park MRT.

The expert team includes specialists in small animal surgery, internal medicine, neurology, exotic companion mammals, and cardiology, using state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic technology to provide personalized care.

The Internal Medicine department plays a vital role in diagnosing and managing complex medical cases. You will work alongside board-certified specialists and experienced nurses in a collaborative, positive, and professional environment.

In addition to medical and surgical services, the hospital offers care through certified hydrotherapists and rehabilitation professionals, enhancing treatment outcomes and improving the quality of life for pets and their human companions.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with diagnostic procedures such as blood sampling, radiographs, ultrasound prep, and endoscopy support
  • Provide nursing care to internal medicine inpatients, including administering medications and monitoring responses
  • Collaborate with internal medicine specialists to prepare, manage, and carry out treatment plans
  • Participate in daily inpatient rounds and communicate case updates to the team
  • Maintain accurate medical records and assist with inventory management for the department
  • Perform patient restraint and assist with consultations and procedures
  • Mentor junior nurses and support training in internal medicine protocols
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g. surgery, ECC) for seamless case transfers and shared care
  • Uphold patient comfort, hygiene, and safety throughout the treatment process
  • Communicate professionally with pet owners regarding patient progress as directed by the veterinarian

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in veterinary technology or a related qualification
  • Minimum five (5) years of clinical veterinary nursing experience
  • At least three (3) years in a senior or leadership nursing role preferred
  • Experience in a referral or specialty hospital is an advantage
  • Strong interest in internal medicine nursing and advanced patient care
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and multitasking skills
  • A calm, compassionate, and team-oriented mindset
