About the role
Vine Group Pte Ltd, a well-established hospitality group, is seeking a talented Junior Sommelier to join our team in our Raffles Place location. As a Junior Sommelier, you will play a vital role in enhancing the dining experience for our discerning clientele. This full-time position will allow you to showcase your passion for wine and your exceptional customer service skills.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting the Bar manager in curating and managing the wine selection for our Bar.
- Providing expert wine recommendations and pairings to guests, ensuring an exceptional dining experience
- Maintaining the wine cellar, including inventory management and proper storage conditions
- Conducting wine tastings and educational sessions for both staff and customers
- Collaborating with the culinary team to develop innovative food and wine pairing menus
- Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the wine industry
What we're looking for
- At least 3 years of experience as a Sommelier or in a similar wine-focused role within the hospitality industry
- A strong passion for wine, with extensive knowledge of wine varieties, regions, and production methods
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to engage and educate guests on wine selection
- A sponsorship is considered.
- Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and colleagues
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service
