Singapore Bank of China Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Following the development direction of science and technology strategy of the Bank, focusing on strategic tasks and priorities, making R&D proposals, and coordinating the linkage of technical lines of Head Office and the Branch to carry out innovative R&D jointly.

  2. Responsible for technical research on big data, artificial intelligence, block chain, mobile Internet and other technologies, studying and learning from advanced experience in the innovative application of financial technology.

  3. Providing assistance to explore innovation needs, identify innovation priorities, and put forward proposals on innovative projects and technology applications.

  4. Organizing the implementation of demand analysis and technical implementation plan of innovative projects; responsible for technical selection of innovative projects; organizing the implementation, prototype verification, pilot and promotion of innovative R&D projects;

  5. Responsible for the comprehensive management of the innovation project implementation, include not limited to project proposal, implementation, closure, post evaluation and promotion etc. To carry out the procurement activity, work closely with external partners on project management in compliance with the relevant regulations, to ensure smooth implementation of the project and timely quality guaranty.

  6. Responsible for selection of partners and liaison work, promoting cooperation between local government, regulator, peers and industries, academic and research institutions, as well as building and expanding the innovation ecosystem.

  7. Assist in promotion campaigns for innovative products and the other activities;

  8. Responsible for training, talent cultivation and other related work of Innovation Lab.

Background and Qualification:

  1. Bachelor degree or above in internationally renowned universities; majoring in following fields are prioritized, mathematics, computer, software engineering, financial engineering, automation, information management, etc. Candidates with PMP certificates are preferred.

  2. At least 3 years of experience in Fintech fields; holding the project management (PMO) position in commercial banks, Fintech companies and Internet companies in China or Singapore.

  3. Proficiency in project management skills; With theoretical and practical foundation in agile development, project clusters and large scale project management, and mastery of mainstream project planning control, cost management and post-evaluation methods.

  4. With knowledge background in innovation R&D, familiar with the creative incubation methodology represented by Design Thinking; able to independently plan and organize flexible project teams to complete the creative incubation process.

  5. Strong written summary and communication skills in both Chinese and English in order to communicate with counterparts from Head Office and overseas Branches.
