Estimation Engineer

We are specifically looking for candidates with experience in the aviation or MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) industry.

Aviation / Aerospace / MRO industry

Candidates who have previously worked at GE Aviation, SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC), ST Engineering Aerospace, or similar

Experience in tool fabrication, repair, and servicing used in the maintenance of aircraft components

Familiar with precision engineering practices in a manufacturing environment

Toolroom operations

Ground Support Equipment (GSE) maintenance

Jig and fixture fabrication or repair

MRO tooling servicing

Mechanical maintenance in aerospace workshops

Key Responsibilities:

• To developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for custom and standard products, primarily in the areas of aircraft tooling and military vehicles.
• Analytical and detail-oriented
• To collaborate with engineering, production, procurement, and sales teams to ensure all estimates align with technical specifications, client requirements, and company profitability goals.
• Evaluate technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements to determine cost-effective solutions for tool and equipment acquisition or fabrication.
• Provide timely and accurate pricing for new projects, modifications, or repairs involving tools and GSE.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-year experience in estimating or cost engineering, preferably in a tooling fabrication and machining facility.
• Bachelor or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Candidates without the necessary qualifications but with relevant experience will be considered.
• Sound working knowledge of engineering principles, GD&T, materials, surface & heat treatments, and qualification testing.
• Conversant with the relevant international and aviation standards.
