Ang Mo Kio Town Council (AMKTC) is 1 of the biggest Town Council in Singapore and manages/improves the public residential and commercial properties in 7 divisions; namely Teck Ghee, Cheng San, Ang Mo Kio-Hougang, Seletar-Serangoon, Buangkok-Fernvale South, Kebun Baru SMC and Yio Chu Kang SMC. We have an opening in a IT Engineer (Perm) in Ang Mo Kio Town Council. The IT Engineer will play a key role in ensuring that every employee has a seamless and secure digital experience - from Laptops and Printers to Collaboration Systems and Mobile Apps. The incumbent supports the team in ensuring that the Town Council's objectives, standards, and service quality are met efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1.    End-User Infrastructure

Laptops

  • Deploy, image, and reimage laptops using standardized builds.
  • Perform OS patching, version upgrades, and refresh cycles.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve laptop-related hardware and software issues.
  • Maintain asset inventory and ensure endpoint compliance with security policies.

Printers

  • Provide Level 1/2 printer support
  • Coordinate with vendors for printer maintenance and repairs.
  • Manage printer configurations, queue setup, and user access permissions.

Vendor Management (Network & Servers)

  • Manage and liaise with outsourced vendors for network and server operations.
  • Track incident resolution, change requests, and service level compliance.
  • Support escalation management and ensure timely issue resolution.

2. Web & Mobile Operations

System Access & Operations

  • Manage user account creation, deletion, and access reviews across operational systems.
  • Perform password resets and monitor account security compliance.

Mobile Devices

  • Manage mobile device onboarding, app installation, and policy enforcement.
  • Configure and support two-factor authentication (2FA) setup for mobile users.
  • Ensure compliance with MDM (Mobile Device Management) standards and security baselines.

3. Systems Administration

You'll take ownership of several key IT systems that support our daily operations:

  • SharePoint: Perform user and site administration, permission control, and basic configuration.
  • VoIP: Manage user provisioning, and phone setup with vendor support.
  • Door Access System: Administer user access rights and monitor logs as required.
  • Digital Signage: Manage content updates and device monitoring.
  • M365 and Acronis Backup for M365:
  • Administration of M365 license, provisioning, troubleshooting and liaison with MS for vendor support.
  • Monitor and administer backup jobs and recovery requests for M365 environments.

4. Undertake any other duties relevant to the role as assigned by the management.

What we need from you and the required skills:

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in IT support, end-user computing, or system administration.
  • Proficient in Windows OS deployment, patch management, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiar with Microsoft 365 ecosystem, SharePoint administration, and basic VoIP operations.
  • Hands-on experience in managing outsourced IT vendors.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, ITSM tools, and endpoint security practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
