Position Summary

This role will create Southeast Asia & Oceania region's online business strategy both and other online platforms including Pureplayers to maximize the business performance. This role will also lead the various projects that are created by local / regional/ global stakeholders to develop / improve our internal processes that will ultimately lead to maximized satisfaction of our consumers.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Closely support Company's top management and online group leaders to drive sales growth and deliver premium customer experience at Samsung Online Store and be the top best-selling brands on various online platforms in South-East Asia with Samsung's wide range Product Portfolios. The role requires coordination with Korean speaking leaders & hence the candidate should have excellent Korean speaking, reading & writing skills.
  • Need to understand deeply on current South-East Asia Biz trend for both online and offline with well recognition of global biz trend in order to adopt and forecast to South-East Asia market for short, mid and long term trend
  • Structure strategies to support continued growth in the direct-to-consumer e-Commerce business, with particular focus on developing and optimizing user experience. Responsible for various projects in order to maximize customer satisfaction that created by locally and/or globally through organizing Task Force and lead to success.
  • Responsible to make exclusive business report to top management / Online group head and other related management on current business performance with clear data analysis of past and present. Also need to show our options for the future business by considering various business factors by negotiating with stake holders including other BU and support functions in order to let our management to make business decision in timely manner,
  • Responsible to keep / track past data for further analysis in order to utilized by internally / externally.
  • Utilizes data and analytics across sources providing proactive insights to management and cross-functional partners as well to problem solve and develop solutions independently and creatively
  • Establishes a strong working relationship with cross functional stakeholders with various Business units while aligning with Corporate Marketing team on centralized elements of the e-commerce strategy and platform, creating a roadmap that local market will utilize to increase overall performance and achieve designated targets
  • Collaborating with Subsidiary is essential for this role. Must have good inter-personal skill with clear communication skill to gather right information and/also distribute/convince our strategy to Subsidiaries PIC including top management of each Subsidiary.
  • Partners with key cross-functional teams to ensure all relevant organizational goals and implications are factored into e-Commerce projects and advocating cross-product integrations and cross-selling
  • Led new and current process standardization projects and adoption of tools to enhance sales productivity and accelerate transformation ensuring alignment to Samsung strategy
  • Orchestrate Online business operations to drive alignment with management on new process decisions and ensure alignment with Samsung guideline and timeline
  • Perform ad-hoc database queries to support business needs. Runs and maintains various access databases, typically tools specific for teams or functions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management /direct supervisor

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field
  • 8 - 10 years of experience managing high-performance B2C e-commerce platform(s) and demonstrated experience in managing and growing online conversions, revenue and leads
  • Solid understanding of the metrics that drive value in an e-Commerce business, including traffic metrics, inventory turns, etc.
  • Proven success in developing comprehensive business plans that are integrated across multiple consumer touch points, including at point-of-purchase.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills with ability to synthesize data to drive strategic decision making
  • Strong decision-making skills and an understanding of where projects fit into overall Company and category strategies
  • Interpersonal savvy: an ability to effectively work with and connect with all levels throughout the organization across various functions and geographies
  • Fluency in Korean language and experience in collaborating with Korean stakeholders
  • Results-oriented, having held leadership roles and built and developed high performing teams
  • Experience working on cross functional teams to drive internal process and strategy improvement
  • Proven ability to collaborate and manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines required
  • Technical creative, methodical, and passionate about UX and using data to orchestrate e-commerce growth
  • Strong data visualization skills and ability to effectively communicate performance and business impact to the broader business
  • Inventive problem solver, highly collaborative, and have a high level of accountability
  • A deep attention to detail and dedication to accuracy and precision with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Analytics tools (i.e., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or similar) and familiarity with common CRM technologies, Extensive knowledge in e-Commerce Platforms
