- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and procurement plans for commercial interior Lead the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and procurement strategies for commercial interior design projects (up to ~20,000 sqft), ensuring financial efficiency and project feasibility
- Oversee material take-offs and the preparation of bills of quantities (BOQ) to ensure accurate cost planning
- Evaluate, negotiate, and finalize contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to achieve optimal cost and quality outcomes
- Manage and track project expenditures, progress claims, and variations, proactively identifying and addressing cost-related risks
- Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and contractors to ensure budgets align with design specifications while maintaining project profitability
- Review and assess contract terms, manage progress payments, and oversee final account settlements with subcontractors and clients
- Conduct site visits and audits to verify work progress, ensure compliance with contractual agreements, and mitigate potential disputes
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions to enhance project efficiency without compromising quality
- Ensure full compliance with Singapore's building codes, contracts, and procurement regulations, providing expert advice on regulatory requirements
- Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors, fostering a culture of excellence in cost management and contract administration
