Singapore YAN BALLET ACADEMY PTE. LTD. Full time $40,000 - $60,000 per year

We are looking for a dance instructor focusing on ballet and contemporary dance:

  • Prepare and teach stimulating classes in classical ballet/contemporary dance to students and prepare students for a potential professional career in dance

  • Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and syllabi

  • Explain and demonstrate proper techniques

  • Teach our Elite Program

  • Teach the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) curriculum and prepare students for RAD examinations

  • Teach private classes as assigned by the Branch Principal.

  • Assist in preparation & participate in competitions and performances

  • Assist in preparation and assist & participate in RAD exam days

  • Ability to connect and capture students' attention, deliver information clearly, concisely and effectively

  • Establish and communicate clear objectives

  • Maintain student attendance records

  • Nurture each student to maximize his/her dance potential

  • Assessment and support of individual student learning styles

  • At the end of each Term, prepare Progress Reports for each student as per Company requirements

  • Effective and timely communication in person and through email with varied school directors and colleagues

  • Support of school-wide initiatives and programs

  • To support colleagues and work whole-heartedly for the good of the school

  • Work reflectively to set goals, receive constructive feedback and try new strategies to improve student achievement
