About the Role

We are looking for a versatile and meticulous Editor to join our editorial team. This role blends language editing and copyediting, with responsibility for improving the clarity, accuracy and consistency of our textbooks. You will work closely with authors, designers and curriculum specialists to ensure that all materials meet our publishing standards.

What You'll Do

  • Edit manuscripts for grammar, punctuation and consistency in tone and formatting

  • Improve clarity, structure and readability — including rewriting text where necessary

  • Ensure that content is appropriate for the target age group and aligned with curriculum outcomes

  • Collaborate with authors to refine their writing while preserving subject integrity

  • Work closely with designers to ensure accuracy in layout, visuals and typesetting

  • Perform final checks before print or digital release

  • Stay updated on curriculum changes, language usage trends and house style conventions

What We're Looking For

  • Excellent command of written English, with strong editing and rewriting skills

  • Ability to work with subject matter in Mathematics, Science, Humanities or English

  • Meticulous attention to detail, with a high standard for accuracy and consistency

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage timelines across multiple projects

  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively

  • A genuine interest in education and textbook publishing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, Mathematics, Science or a related field

  • Prior experience in editing, language improvement or publishing is preferred

  • Entry level candidates with strong language and analytical skills are welcome to apply

  • Immediate availability is an advantage

  • Salary will be commensurate with relevant experience
